In a drama-like story, Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Sugeun were shocked.
On the 2nd broadcast of KBS Joy's "Ask Anything" (hereafter "Ask Anything"), a storyteller appeared who was angry at her husband for announcing they should live with his parents.
The storyteller said, "My husband is the second of three brothers. His parents only call him to say they want to live together. I would like to take care of them, but my body won't allow it." She added that she is battling breast cancer and received a procedure for a herniated disc in February of this year. The storyteller mentioned, "Since I smile and go about my day, my husband doesn't realize I'm sick. I look healthy on the outside."
The storyteller revealed that her in-laws opposed their marriage in the past. She said, "I was pregnant before marriage, and they said they would allow the marriage if I aborted the baby. I had the abortion for marriage," noting that she faced a difficult life after marrying against their wishes. She stated that even after giving birth to a son, she continued to live uncomfortably.
The storyteller stated, "When my son was 3 years old, a close friend came over to play, and she had an affair with my husband. My husband is handsome. He resembles Jang Dong-gun. I let my friend stay in the room next to the kitchen. She was supposed to stay for 3-4 days and attend a wedding with us. Our home was 43 pyeong. On the second day, I found my friend wandering around without underwear, just in a skirt." Lee Sugeun called it serious flirting.
The storyteller said, "We were all under a thin blanket in the living room. Every time my husband's hand moved, the blanket moved. Women have intuition," to which Seo Jang-hoon reacted in disbelief, saying, "Does it make sense to touch your wife's friend?" The storyteller recounted, "The decisive moment was that night. The kitchen door wouldn't close properly and was about 5 cm open. In the early morning, when the child briefly woke up and I looked for my husband, he was missing. I went outside and saw him enjoying the thrill through the gap in the door. When I took a knife from the kitchen, my feet wouldn't move. I stood there until those two were done. I witnessed the affair scene." Lee Sugeun added, "Even dramas don't write stories like this."
The storyteller recounted, "I told my husband, 'I cannot endure this.' He knelt down. I slapped him. My limbs were trembling, making it hard to speak. When I asked my friend why she chose my husband, she said, 'Seeing you live well made me angry and jealous.'"
Seo Jang-hoon said, "Hearing it as a story makes it less shocking. It's unbelievable." The storyteller noted, "I thought there would be no divorce in my life. I lived with the mindset that I would work hard, build my own strength, and make choices later. My husband had an affair when our child was 3 years old, and again in his second year of middle school. He cheated with someone from the company in a nearby neighborhood."
After experiencing shocking incidents, the storyteller refrained from visiting her in-laws for 10 years but learned that her mother-in-law gossiped about her. She said, "I felt so unfair. He cheated, so I couldn't go. My mother-in-law said, 'You also should cheat.' I don't understand."
The storyteller stated that she earns enough to live alone without any issues. Her husband also reportedly earns well. She mentioned that it's better than having her husband around. Seo Jang-hoon replied, "I hope you get divorced, but since you still have feelings, there's only one way. Watch your husband when he appears on the show. Doesn't he have any faults? The wife has endured living with him, but suddenly asking to live with his parents in her home is too much for someone battling cancer. That shouldn't happen. The most important thing is for the wife to recover as quickly as possible."
