Comedian Park Na-rae and Jang Doyoun returned to their hometown after 13 years, but experienced the sting of issues related to being excluded from group dinners and the exposure of pre-surgery photos. Nevertheless, the two showcased their professionalism, proving they are comedians at heart.
On the 1st, in the 'Chatflix' corner of KBS2's 'Gag Concert', Park Na-rae and Jang Doyoun appeared as guests and performed various skits.
'Chatflix' is an interactive comedy corner that involves words written directly by audience members participating in an open chat room. It is a popular segment featuring comedians such as Park Sung-kwang, Song Jun-geun, Jung Bum-gyun, Na Hyun-young, and Lee Sang-hoon. Park Na-rae and Jang Doyoun, who have grown to become top stars in the entertainment industry after starting as KBS comedians, returned to 'Gag Concert' after about 13 years.
Park Na-rae appeared as Lee Sang-hoon's daughter and took the stage as a bride-to-be marrying Park Sung-kwang. However, contrary to her shy appearance in a wedding dress holding a bouquet, her bald head and quirky hairstyle elicited laughter. Fellow comedians were surprised, saying, "You said you weren't going to dress up," and Park Na-rae showcased jokes specialized in make-up by saying, "It's a disease."
The chat room heated up with Park Na-rae's appearance. One audience member revealed a pre-surgery photo of Park Na-rae, causing her to be flustered. Once she regained her composure, Park Na-rae continued the scripted story with Park Sung-kwang. However, when she asked the audience to suggest names for the baby, she temporarily exited the stage as the audience's outrageous suggestions made her laugh. In particular, when one audience member suggested the name "Boa," Park Na-rae clarified again, saying, "We are not in any relationship, and I received an apple. Boa and I are on good terms."
In contrast to Park Na-rae, Jang Doyoun appeared looking perfectly fine and opposed the couple's marriage. Jang Doyoun towered over Park Sung-kwang and Park Na-rae due to her height, prompting mentions of towering figures like "Choi Hong-man" and "Ha Seung-jin" in the chat room. Notably, one audience member wrote, "130 and 140, 380," making everyone laugh.
Jang Doyoun's pre-surgery photos were also revealed. In response, Park Na-rae joked, "She's also a lot prettier now," acknowledging the plastic surgery and prompting laughter. Jang Doyoun, fueled by the audience's chat messages, danced in bizarre styles like the "Y dance." Displaying a passionate comedic spirit, Jang Doyoun mentioned that she pretended to be pregnant to prevent Park Sung-kwang's marriage and, when questioned about the baby's father, said, "Please don't sue me" in response to mentions of 'Lee Dong-wook' and 'Son Suk-ku' by the audience.
Park Na-rae also claimed she was pregnant to capture Park Sung-kwang's attention. However, unlike with Jang Doyoun, the audience sent jokes about "imaginative pregnancy," causing laughter.
Park Na-rae seemed to find the stage so entertaining that she hesitated to deliver her final line. At the urging of Park Sung-kwang, she said, "Let's get out of here quickly," and the audience urged her in the chat to head to MBC, keeping the humor alive until the end.
Meanwhile, after finishing the recording of 'Gag Concert', Park Na-rae moved nearby for a dinner, but humorously noted that no one came except for Jang Doyoun. Later, the official account of 'Gag Concert' revealed that a gathering had actually taken place, clarifying it was just a hilarious occurrence.
