CUBE Entertainment's rookie boy group NOWADAYS is starting a new chapter as 'NOWZ.'
CUBE Entertainment announced on the 2nd via official social media that it will unveil the NOWZ logo motion and change the team's name from NOWADAYS to 'NOWZ.' As NOWZ is undergoing a group name change and rebranding just one year after its debut, it aims to reestablish the team's identity and present new possibilities while signaling its transformation into a leading group.
NOWZ combines the meaning of 'NOW,' symbolizing the present, with 'Z,' representing expanded possibilities and new beginnings. The group, consisting of Hyunbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Siyoon, intends to showcase its distinct color with music and concepts that break from conventional formulas.
NOWZ debuted on April 2nd last year with the single 'NOWADAYS' and showcased their youthful enthusiasm and diverse charms by consecutively releasing the digital single 'Rainy Day (비가 오는 날엔 (2024 Remake ver.)),' the second single 'NOWHERE (노웨어),' and the digital single 'Let's Get It (렛츠기릿).'
NOWZ solidified its position as a rising star by winning the IS Rookie Award at the '2024 Korea Grand Music Awards' and the Blooming Star Award at the '32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024.' At the '39th Golden Disk Awards,' it was selected as the main act for the 'Golden Choice' stage for promising newcomers, showcasing explosive potential. Recently, it also received the 'ASEA Hot Trend' award at 'ASEA 2025.'
