'Luminous' is a ballad that expresses emotional depth through a composition that builds from delicate and weighty keys to a grand string sound, with Jaurim's Kim Yoon-a responsible for the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, completing its unique sentiment.
The lyrics candidly express the conflicting emotions of wanting to desire freedom while also wanting to turn away, and Do-young's calmly resonant vocals evoke a poignant echo.
The recording behind-the-scenes video 'Soar Diary - page. 2', released on the NCT YouTube channel on the 31st, contains the working process and interviews with Do-young and Kim Yoon-a, enhancing the immersion in the song and receiving positive responses.
Kim Yoon-a noted about 'Luminous', "This song was made while contemplating, 'What are the dreams of us living in the present?' When I sent the demo to Do-young, he liked it very much because it was a story he could understand and relate to, and I think listeners can feel it even more if they imagine Do-young's desires and dreams while listening to the music."
Do-young's second album 'Soar', set to be released on June 9, consists of a total of 10 tracks including the title song 'Hello, Universe (Memory)', and will allow listeners to meet Do-young's sincerity in conveying 'the power to inspire dreams' through music.
