On KBS2 'Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears,' Kim Yong-bin recently revealed a 180-degree transformation in his new life, evoking the envy of Park Myung-soo.
KBS 2TV 'Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' (directed by Ahn Sang-eun, hereafter 'Donkey Ears') is a program in which bosses of Korea voluntarily practice perspective-taking and self-reflection to create a workplace that is enjoyable. In the last episode, it recorded a top viewer rating of 7%, maintaining its heated momentum as No. 1 in entertainment for 156 consecutive weeks based on Nielsen Korea.
In the 308th episode of 'Donkey Ears,' airing today (1st), Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-ah, and Cheon Nok-dam, who recently won a trot survival entertainment show, will appear in Park Myung-soo's 'Walking to Boss's House' part 3. Here, Kim Yong-bin reveals his completely transformed successful life after the survival show, inspiring admiration.
Kim Yong-bin claimed that his driving force for taking first place was, "I topped the popularity vote for 8 consecutive weeks, but Lim Young-woong couldn't do that," adding, "Recently, the number of fan cafe members increased by 20 times. I was amazed to see 45 buses of fans when I attended an event," hinting that event fees have skyrocketed, which catches Park Myung-soo's attention.
Not missing this opportunity, Park Myung-soo joked, "Call me when you have events. Let me be your DJ," eliciting laughter. Kim Yong-bin then reveals an unexpected past, surprising everyone. He disclosed, "I received an offer to join SHINee before," stating, "I turned it down because I wanted to do trot, not be an idol," expressing his feelings about reaching the pinnacle as a trot singer.
Meanwhile, Son Bin-ah unexpectedly remarked, "I have something I'm upset with Yong-bin about," leaving Kim Yong-bin wide-eyed. She expressed, "I asked if there was anyone he felt competitive against during the survival show, and he said there was no one. Still, there were second and third places, and it's upsetting that he never felt competitive with them."
Artist Lee Jeong-eun, who surprised everyone by appearing as trot singer Cheon Nok-dam, explained the reason for her transformation into trot: "It's not a shift; it feels like I've finally put on my own clothes. When I was active as Lee Jeong, I felt a lot of pressure to do well." She confessed, "Now, I love singing and I'm happy," prompting nods of agreement from all. Cheon Nok-dam added, "I battled cancer two years ago. After that, I calmed my mind and went down to Jeju Island, but with my wife's support, I challenged myself this time. Currently, I'm living like a monthly couple," showcasing his affectionate side toward his beloved wife.
