Actress Han Guru shared updates on her twin parenting.
The most recent episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Gourmet Huh Young-man's Baekban Journey,' which aired on the 1st, featured Huh Young-man and Han Guru, who traveled to Buan in North Jeolla Province.
Huh Young-man, who said he came to Buan 20 years ago for 'Gourmet' coverage, met Han Guru at 'Gomso Salt Farm.' Having debuted as a singer in 2011, Han Guru has since taken over the advertising industry and has actively transitioned into acting. When she met Huh Young-man, she asked him the meaning of 'Gomso' while at the 'Gomso Salt Farm,' and after saying, "I searched it, and it says that the salt is sweet," she tasted the salt and grimaced at the salty flavor, bringing laughter.
Han Guru and Huh Young-man moved to another spot to continue their conversation over salted seafood rice meal and braised flatfish. Han Guru explained her name, saying, "It means starting as a tree and becoming a dense forest." Regarding the nickname 'Apgujeong Yui,' which has been used since her debut, she said, "I was called that because people said I looked similar." She also discussed her relationship with Joo Young-hoon, noting, "We were in the same volunteer organization. He asked if I'd ever thought about debuting, and that's how I became a trainee at that company, leading to my debut as a singer. At that time, starting as a singer provided more grants opportunities for entertainment appearances."
At 34 years old this year, Han Guru moved to the United States in 5th grade and then to China in 2nd year of middle school. Han Guru said, "The kids have been asking me a lot of questions lately about foreign languages. I've forgotten quite a bit over time, but I sometimes pretend to be fluent on purpose."
