Actress Kang Joo-eun, the wife of actor Choi Min-soo, revealed her family story on "Dongchimi."
On the 31st, during the broadcast of MBN's entertainment show "Soup Digesting Show Dongchimi" (abbreviated as Dongchimi), Kang Joo-eun appeared as a guest. She shared stories about her married life with Choi Min-soo under the theme "Our home's leader has changed."
Kang Joo-eun, who married Choi Min-soo at age 23 and moved to Korea while being a college student, began her life as a full-time housewife. Gradually starting to work, she noted, "I've seen that, regardless of whether I'm the head of the household, initially, my husband laid the foundation. And for the past 30 years, I've also worked at school and thanks to my husband, I've had appearances on home shopping and YouTube. My husband has reached a point where he can rest. As a result, I think we've become co-heads of the household."
In particular, she said, "I tried investing in stocks during the IMF crisis. I asked my husband, 'Should I try investing in stocks?' At that time, I invested 350 million won in stocks. I lost it all. However, my husband has never once gotten angry about it with me," which surprised everyone.
On another note, Choi Min-soo once caused a commercial to fall through due to his stubbornness. Kang Joo-eun remarked, "My husband, being an artist, said he couldn't cut his hair. At that time, if he had just cut a little, we could have shot a huge commercial, but he missed that opportunity. But then again, being an artist, I couldn't say anything about his self-expression. However, after two weeks, he said he was going to cut his hair, and when I asked why he didn't cut it when we had the commercial, I thought that both my husband and I can't look at everything from just an economic perspective. Kang Joo-eun revealed, "When I first came to Korea, I lived off my husband's card. But one day, I realized that I always had to get his approval, and the credit card company scrutinized me. So one day, I changed everything to my name. Now, all the family cards are under my name."
She continued, "However, thinking about the initiative, we are currently living with my parents for the third time. We have been going back and forth for six months. Even though I'm an only child, I wasn't the one to come up with this idea. My husband suggested it," expressing her gratitude.
Kang Joo-eun said, "My father is in Canada, and we have lived here for 30 years, so I said this is the principle. However, my husband suggested that we should live together. I am an only child, but I had taken you hostage for 30 years, and now I need to repay my parents." This added an emotional touch.
However, she mentioned, "It seems like he has given me the initiative. But upon reflection, I always pay attention so that my husband is comfortable.
