WJSN (Cosmic Girls) member Dayoung challenged herself in architecture, showcasing her presence as a 'versatile entertainer.'
On the 30th, Dayoung appeared on KBS 1TV's 'Scout6 Early Adopters' and visited Ulsan Industrial High School as an MC representative. On this day, Dayoung, who finally visited the school for the first time since joining Scout6, exhibited high energy from the morning and showcased her innate sociability by engaging with Ulsan Technical High School students.
Dayoung, who visited the architecture department of Ulsan Technical High School, the only architecture program in Ulsan, challenged herself with tile installation practice. The tile installation is considered demanding and difficult, with a pass rate of only 50 percent, and Dayoung began to learn the techniques from a student who was the sole holder of a tile technician certification in the school.
As Dayoung mixed soil and water for the construction, she expressed surprise upon hearing that the daily wage for tile installers ranges from 100,000 won to a maximum of 500,000 won, asking enthusiastically, "If I learn today, can I do it too?" When a student demonstrated how to lay tiles, Dayoung eagerly attempted it but became flustered after repeated failures. However, she persevered and, with the help of the student, successfully completed the tile installation.
After completing the installation, Dayoung asked the students who participated in the practice, "Is there a reason you chose the architecture program at Ulsan Technical High School?" She listened seriously to their stories and built rapport. In particular, she offered heartfelt encouragement to a student who had switched to architecture due to an injury that forced them to quit sports, effectively playing the role of 'Gen Z empathy fairy.'
After a friendly lunch with the students, Dayoung enjoyed busking with 'Brazilian percussion' using drums before joining the second-period class. Having never done painting before, Dayoung began learning from a student who holds a painting technician certification about how to paint on plywood. Faced with the task of mixing various colors to create a shade identical to the sample, Dayoung was astonished as the student effortlessly reproduced colors they had seen just once, thus adding another new experience to her repertoire.
In the final third period, Dayoung learned about architectural design. As this is the first work done in architecture and requires meticulousness, she challenged herself with home decoration during the '3D Visualization Class.' Even during the practice, her curiosity remained high. Dayoung asked the student sitting next to her about the meaning of the class and the principles of design, fully engaging in the lesson with sharp questions like why all APT.s look the same. Her exceptional enthusiasm as an MC of 'Early Adopters' was evident, culminating in a solo presentation based on the plans she created.
Through various broadcasts and content, Dayoung, who has already showcased not only her sense of entertainment but also vibrant energy, revealed her improved hosting skills, sharp reactions, and passion for diverse learning through 'Early Adopters,' once again stepping up as a 'versatile entertainer.' Expectations are high for Dayoung's future endeavors, as she continues to visit various schools, communicate closely with Generation Z, and foster shared understanding while ensuring both the joy and educational value of 'Early Adopters.'
