The Netflix series 'Square' has released stills.
After cutting his Achilles' heel and leaving the world of 'Square', 'Gi Joon' returns for the first time in 11 years due to the death of his brother 'Gi Seok', who was the organization's number two, and launches an investigation into the conspiracy behind it in this noir action 'Square', releasing 13 stills.
First, the serious expression of 'Nam Gi Joon' (So Ji Sub) facing the truth of the incident that changed the fates of the two organizations in the 'Square' world, 'Bongsan' and 'Juwon', from 11 years ago catches the eye. After the incident, 'Nam Gi Joon' promised not to return to the world of 'Square' and went into hiding after cutting an Achilles' heel. However, as seen in the serious expression of 'Nam Gi Joon' while looking at the body of his brother 'Nam Gi Seok' (Lee Joon Hyuk), who rose to the number two position in the 'Juwon' organization but met an untimely death, he returns to the world of 'Square' to find the secrets surrounding his brother's death and begins his journey of revenge. The stills capturing 'Nam Gi Joon's exhilarating yet desperate actions after the rules of the 'Square' world are broken and the past battles enhance the excitement of the entire piece.
The appearances of the 'Juwon' and 'Bongsan' families, which divide the world of 'Square', also draw attention. The stills of 'Lee Juwon' (Heo Jun Ho), the head of the 'Juwon' organization, and 'Gu Bong San' (Ahn Gil Kang), the head of the 'Bongsan' organization, confronting each other foretell the events the two organizations will face due to the return of 'Nam Gi Joon' after 11 years, increasing curiosity about the narratives they will develop, along with the rule of the 'Square' world that states, "Anyone who touches the opponent must pay a price."
Along with this, the still of 'Gu Joon Mo' (Gong Myoung), the son of 'Gu Bong San' and the heir of the 'Bongsan' organization, vividly showcases his personality of doing anything for his own desires. The expression of 'Lee Geum Son' (Choo Young-Woo), appearing as if in anguish, suggests he, the son of 'Lee Juwon', the head of the 'Juwon' organization, and currently a prosecutor, will lead unpredictable developments with his dark ambitions to upend the balance of the 'Square' world.
Meanwhile, the image of 'Choi Sung Cheol' (Jo Han Cheol), the right-hand man who serves 'Lee Juwon', on a call with someone raises interest in what incidents 'Choi Sung Cheol' will face in the process of stabilizing the organization shaken by the emergence of 'Nam Gi Joon'. Additionally, the encounter of 'Shim Sung Won' (Lee Bum Soo), the representative of 'Enklein' who takes care of the dark affairs of the 'Square' world, with 'Nam Gi Joon' increases curiosity about what clues 'Shim Sung Won' might provide regarding the death of 'Nam Gi Seok'.
Lastly, the still of 'Cha Young Do' (Cha Seung Won), with a somewhat anxious gaze, depicts him as a mysterious figure in the 'Square' world who belongs to neither 'Bongsan' nor 'Juwon', adding curiosity about his role that will further plunge the 'Square' world into chaos. Furthermore, the still of 'Nam Gi Seok' with a heavy gaze and atmosphere adds an element of mystery to the 'Square' world regarding what kind of figure he will encounter, as he serves as the fuse for all events.
With each character pursuing only their own goals and objectives, 'Square', completed in a heavy manner by nine characters, will be released on Netflix at 4 p.m. on June 6 (Friday).
