In the statement, Karina's fans expressed deep concern about the article link shared by candidate Lee Jun-seok on social media. They specifically pointed out that 'the victim's real name, photo, and sexually harassing expressions were exposed in the title and image.'
Earlier, candidate Lee Jun-seok shared photos and articles alongside a post titled 'The son of Lee Jae-myung commented on a photo of Karina.' Regardless of the validity of the controversy, the situation highlights that Karina appears as a victim of harassing comments. Consequently, fans expressed their concern.
In particular, Karina's fans noted, 'If it were a situation reported by multiple media outlets, wouldn't it have been possible to choose and share articles from other outlets?' Moreover, they added, 'Currently, the article has been corrected in terms of title and images, and alternative articles that do not include the victim's real name are sufficiently available. Nevertheless, this candidate continues to maintain the link to the initial version, which contradicts his own position and results in repeatedly damaging the victim's honor.'
Above all, Karina's fans stated, 'We do not wish for any blame or political disputes directed at the victim,' drawing a line regarding the political controversy surrounding Karina.
Earlier, Karina posted a photo on her personal social media wearing an outfit designed with a red-patterned number '2', which raised suspicions of supporting a specific party and candidate during the presidential election period. In response, Karina promptly deleted the photo, and her agency, SM Entertainment, emphasized through an official statement that there was no specific intent. Furthermore, Karina clarified through the fan community platform that there was no political intent.
Nevertheless, Karina continues to be mentioned by and at the center of controversy among conservative politicians and their supporters. Consequently, fans are stepping in to draw a line regarding Karina and the political controversy, defending her.
