"You Quiz" mother of quintuplets, Sa Gong-hye-ran, revealed the behind-the-scenes of being advised about selective abortion.
On the afternoon of the 28th, tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" featured Cha Min-a, who works as a nurse in a Saudi hospital, webtoon artist Eom Yu-jin, Park Ji-won, who is searching for new dreams after being a lawyer with a high annual salary, and the couple Kim Jun-young and Sa Gong-hye-ran, who welcomed five quintuplets through natural pregnancy.
Wife Sa Gong-hye-ran has given birth to quintuplets with a probability of 1 in 65 million and is noted for being the first in the country to achieve a natural pregnancy.
He said, "I'm not that big, and my height is in the low 150 cm range. I thought it would be impossible to have twins. I worried whether I could handle such a belly after seeing the belly of the military couple that appeared on 'You Quiz.'" He added, "The hospital gave such options. They said I could keep all five, but it would be difficult and risky, mentioning that selective abortion was an option to consider. The heartbeat of the fourth was weak from the start, so I seriously contemplated (abortion)."
The mother-in-law said, "I felt sorry for my daughter-in-law, but I also told her to consider selective abortion. I felt so sorry. I thought it would be impossible," wiping her tears.
