Queen of discernment Kim Nam-joo showed off a luxury bag and wedding ring gifted by her husband Kim Seung-woo.
In the episode aired on the 29th, the new SBS Life variety show "Queen of discernment Kim Nam-joo" featured her introducing her prized possessions.
That day, Kim Nam-joo had a time to introduce her treasured items. After showcasing a classic bag and a white bag that had become stained from use, she mentioned that the green bag from luxury brand C contained memories with her husband Kim Seung-woo.
Kim Nam-joo recalled, "A few years ago, I saw it in a magazine and I liked green. This one is made of silk. It's so beautiful. I wanted it so much. I asked Kim Seung-woo, who was abroad, to get it for me."
She continued, "I asked him to check if the store had that bag, and it did. I said, 'Oppa! Please buy that for me.' I think I was young and felt a desire for material things."
She added, "He bought it for me, and I loved it so much. On my birthday, I took it with me. While I was handling the cake, I was so nervous. I moved it to the back, but my husband ended up getting cake on the bag while jokingly trying to smear it on my face. You can't imagine the chaos that ensued. I thought, 'I've ruined that bag now,' and 'I can't carry that bag anymore.'"
Kim Nam-joo expressed, "I can't carry something that I wanted so badly because I feel too precious about it. Fortunately, it got cleaned very well. I love it so much that I put it away and don't use it often. I've only taken it out once because of my husband."
Additionally, Kim Nam-joo mentioned the "5-carat diamond wedding ring" that was reported as a gift her husband Kim Seung-woo gave to Kim Jong-min, who is about to get married. She said, "Not long ago, it was reported that he bought a ring of several carats as a wedding gift for Kim Jong-min, and this is the 5-carat pear-shaped diamond ring."
Trying on the ring again after a long time, Kim Nam-joo remarked, "It looks so beautiful after such a long time. Pear-shaped diamonds were in vogue back then, and I really wanted one. Instead, I didn't ask for any sets, watches, or anything else. I just said, 'Can't you just get me a big one?' He told me to get something nice."
Kim Nam-joo also shared a story about her square diamond earrings. She said, "When I was in my 20s, I went to Hong Kong and really wanted to buy them. I kept thinking about it until I came back and bought them the day before I left. I don't wear them often anymore to save them. I only wear them on important days. I'm sure there are bigger ones out there, but I bought this when I was young and overused it, so I only wear it on really special occasions. I think it would be nice to pass this down to La-hee later."
