Singer-songwriter An Yea-eun enhances the immersion of her work by participating in the reading of the audiobook following her debut novel's original soundtrack (OST) performance.
An Yea-eun will release the OST 'Gwi hwaseo, sa honhwa' for the novel 'Gwi hwaseo, last flower will be protected' today (29th) at noon through various streaming sites.
The novel 'Gwi hwaseo, last flower will be protected' is an Eastern fantasy that embodies the unique worldview of author Kim Sun-mi. It begins with the assumption, 'What if the souls of the dead bloom again as flowers?', containing a narrative of consolation for all who have lost loved ones as it unfolds.
The OST 'Gwi hwaseo, sa honhwa' for 'Gwi hwaseo, last flower will be protected' was created in collaboration with An Yea-eun and Millie's Library. It is also An Yea-eun's first novel OST. Characterized by An Yea-eun's unique method of expressing the firm resolve of the living who must live in the present while mourning their farewells, as well as the comfort from the deceased to the living, An Yea-eun directly leads the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, effectively incorporating the thematic consciousness throughout the piece.
In particular, An Yea-eun did not only participate in singing the OST for the novel 'Gwi hwaseo, last flower will be protected' but also took part in the reading of the audiobook. The audiobook, in which An Yea-eun participated in the recording including the intro and outro, can currently be listened to on the official website of Millie's Library.
An Yea-eun has expressed Korea's beauty and charm through songs such as 'Sangsahwa', 'Hongyeon', and 'If spring comes', as well as through auditory summer horror special series tracks like 'Neungsohwa', 'Chang-gwi', and 'Rat' (RATvolution). She aims for 'musicification of stories' while showcasing her unique musical world. Furthermore, An Yea-eun is expected to deliver her unique storytelling once more through 'Gwi hwaseo, sa honhwa'.
