Jeon Yeo-bin expresses the brilliance and happiness of life through "Our Movie."
The new SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Our Movie" (directed by Lee Jeong-heum, written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, produced by Studio S and Beyond J) will premiere on June 13 (Friday) at 9:50 p.m. The drama depicts a love story that cannot be postponed, featuring director Lee Je-ha (Nam Goong-min) who has no tomorrow and actress Lee Da-eum (Jeon Yeo-bin) whose today is the last.
Jeon Yeo-bin, known for her versatile charm and referred to as "the woman with a thousand faces," has taken on the role of terminally ill actress Lee Da-eum, marking her first lead role at the end of her life. Jeon Yeo-bin cited the reason for choosing "Our Movie" as "Nam Goong-min's strong and delicately shining performance and director Lee Jeong-heum's unpredictable direction."
In particular, Jeon Yeo-bin, who said she wanted to meet the vibrant existence that is Lee Da-eum, confessed, "When I saw Da-eum for the first time in the script, I thought she must be like a ray of sunshine." She continued, "She is a person who brightens not only herself but also those around her with her energy, beautifully bright even at the moment the sun rises or sets."
The role of Lee Da-eum, which captured Jeon Yeo-bin's heart, is a person with an endlessly bright and cheerful personality, racing toward the last page of life. Jeon Yeo-bin described Lee Da-eum as "someone who desperately and sincerely cherishes the dreams and love of today, of this moment, and thus seeks to fully enjoy the brilliance and happiness of life."
Therefore, she introduced Lee Da-eum by saying, "It's difficult to define her as a single genre or keyword; she is truly a vividly living being," and shared her acting point, saying, "I focused on the inner aspects of Da-eum to portray her well."
Meanwhile, in the drama, Lee Da-eum is cast in a film titled "White Love" about a terminally ill patient, marking her first leading role. As she takes on another layer of performance within the drama, Jeon Yeo-bin noted, "The protagonist in 'White Love' is also in a similar situation to Da-eum. So, naturally, I became the actress Lee Da-eum who blends into the work 'White Love'," raising expectations for the character Lee Da-eum that Jeon Yeo-bin will create.
