Singer Park Jin-Young mentioned the key points he focused on while judging 'WSWF.'
On the morning of the 27th, a production presentation for Mnet's 'World of Street Woman Fighter' (directed by Kwon Young-chan CP, Choi Jung-nam PD; hereinafter 'WSWF') took place at the SJ Kunsthalle in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, attended by the production team, along with MC Sung Hanbin, fight judge Park Jin-Young, Mike Song, and nine members from Team Korea BUMSUP (Gabee, NO:ZE, Leejung, Ri.hey, LIP J, Monika, AIKI, Honey J, Hyojin Choi).
'World of Street Woman Fighter' is the third season of Mnet's mega hit 'Street Woman Fighter,' and it will feature a competition among five countries including Korea, New Zealand, the United States, Japan, and Australia.
On that day, Park Jin-Young, when asked if he had watched all the previous 'WSWF' series, said, "I've seen a lot of it on broadcast and I've also followed many clips. After the decision to appear this time, I watched everything again."
He continued, regarding his feelings about judging 'WSWF,' "I do a lot of work in the entertainment industry, but what comes to me instinctively seems to be dance. My first start was as a backup dancer for Kim Gun-mo," adding, "dance is an instinctive part, and setting aside everything else like singing, I was happy to be able to feel and react with just dance. It was also fun to gather people who dance well from all over the world and enjoy that."
At the same time, Park Jin-Young added, "The atmosphere itself was so raw that I seemed to forget I was on broadcast and got immersed in it."
Additionally, regarding the judging points for this program, Park Jin-Young stated, "I tried to think as little as possible. In past experiences judging singers, there were issues related to the company involved. I thought about various things, but here I tried to speak according to what I saw and felt without any thought, which was an important point." He continued, "Since I'm currently working as a producer in the field, many people from 'WSWF' are those whom I previously paid and worked with. If I were to grant a next project as a producer, I have seen things from that perspective."
Meanwhile, Mnet's 'WSWF' will have its first broadcast today (27th) at 10 p.m.
