The new SBS drama "Today, I Sold Out Again" has confirmed the casting of Ahn Hyoseop and Chae Won-bin and is looking to create a sold-out frenzy with its lineup.
The new SBS drama "Today, I Sold Out Again" (directed by Ahn Jong-yeon, written by Jin Seung-hee, produced by Studio S, Beyond J, and Slingshot Studio) unfolds a romantic comedy as the three-job farmer Matthew Lee (a.k.a. Meturi) and insomnia-stricken top show host Dam Ye-jin meet day and night.
Ahn Hyoseop, who has achieved successive hits with the "Romantic Doctor" series, "Hong Cheon-gi," and "In-house Matchmaking," showcases explosive synergy with SBS alongside Chae Won-bin, who won the Best New Actress award in the broadcasting category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in the drama "This Close Betrayer."
In the drama, Ahn Hyoseop plays the role of the three-job farmer Matthew Lee. Matthew Lee is a farmer at the world's only farm producing miracle ingredients and the head of a natural cosmetics ingredient company, as well as a cosmetic development researcher, holding three titles. Behind his rigorous routine, traversing the entire village as if 24 hours is not enough, lies a secret unknown to anyone. It raises curiosity about the untold story hidden behind his various titles, and what kind of tales Ahn Hyoseop will portray as Matthew Lee.
Chae Won-bin portrays Dam Ye-jin, a show host at a leading home shopping company. Dam Ye-jin is a top show host who has recorded sell-outs across categories, including accessories, dried goods, fashion, and electronics, and is flourishing in her career. As she prioritizes work over sleep, reducing her sleep hours, she eventually finds herself permanently separated from sleep and suffering from severe insomnia. Expectations are rising for how Chae Won-bin will develop Dam Ye-jin's journey to reclaim her lost sleep.
Sharing the common trait of being sincerely dedicated to their work while being extremely neglectful of themselves, these two individuals meet for a certain reason and begin to entwine day and night. Curiosity grows about the connection between Matthew Lee and Dam Ye-jin.
Not only that, but attention is also focused on the chemistry between Ahn Hyoseop and Chae Won-bin, who will create a romance aimed at restful sleep for those who cannot sleep. With his gentle gaze and charming low voice, Ahn Hyoseop has established himself as a 'rom-com king,' while Chae Won-bin, capturing the viewer's attention with her mysterious charm, is expected to enhance the immersion in the bickering chemistry between Matthew Lee and Dam Ye-jin.
The SBS new drama "Today, I Sold Out Again," featuring Ahn Hyoseop and Chae Won-bin's romantic comedy aimed at those sleepless, will premiere in 2026.
