Singer Lee Chaeyeon, a former member of the group IZ*ONE, expressed discomfort over criticisms from ONF fans but ultimately conveyed her apology.
On the 26th, Lee Chaeyeon posted a lengthy message expressing her feelings through the fan communication platform Bubble, stating, "How should I put this? Since starting YouTube and up until uploading videos, I have never called someone who said they didn't like it even once, and I get confirmation for every single thumbnail. There may be inadequate parts. This is my first time on YouTube too, so how could it be perfect?"
Lee Chaeyeon noted, "Of course, if you point it out, I am ready to correct it and fix any mistakes. I have sufficiently informed you that I am preparing for the flea market while filming behind the scenes, but the company was unaware of that. So, I said not to upload the preparation video."
Previously, Lee Chaeyeon held a flea market under the name 'Bangabanga Flea Market,' and on that day, Baekho, Lovelyz's Kei, ONF's E-SHUN, Seungjun, and Mingkyun appeared as guests. Some ONF fans criticized the situation, stating that the filming took place just a week before the ONF solo concert and expressed that there was a lack of consideration for both Lee Chaeyeon and the production team.
In response, Lee Chaeyeon said, "Then you shouldn't have come. Why should other seller guests suffer, and what about the editors and directors who filmed? It began as a flea market with good intentions; why has it changed? I said I couldn't do it because my schedule doesn't match. Do you know why we have until the 6th?" She continued, "You say you want to do it so much, but since you had a fansign event that day, I set the time to accommodate you, and since you agreed to it, I secured guests for all segments. The artists were actively prepared to meet fans up close, so how much responsibility should I bear?"
She further stated, "I will make it clear. I will absolutely no longer request any grants for appearances. Even if you want to, I will stop it. You probably do not need me anymore, right? I will stop caring for you more as well. If I say I will care for you, you might say, 'Who are you?' I truly always support you and wanted to work with the older brothers in a comfortable way, so I have been considerate. I will also create a space to meet with Cherish only. If many of those fans want it, I am also ready to reflect it in the video, and I regret it so much."
After Lee Chaeyeon's heartfelt message was shared, discussions related to it continued online. In response, Lee Chaeyeon shared, "I think hiding without saying anything after causing a big event is cowardly and can lead to greater misunderstandings, so I decided to write again. Writing this at dawn with a heavy heart, even though I tried not to be too emotional, I think my writing today turned out to be quite emotional."
She added, "Having various opinions is natural, and I also know it is not the majority's opinion. Seeing others who are also upset aside from me makes me feel even more sorry; it seems I have disturbed the excitement and joy for the upcoming big meeting.
