Singer-songwriter Ahn Yae-eun performed the soundtrack for the Tongyang fantasy novel.
Ahn Yae-eun will release the soundtrack "Gwiwhaseo, Sahonhwa" for the novel "Gwiwhaseo, I Will Protect the Last Flower" on various music platforms at noon on the 29th.
The novel "Gwiwhaseo, I Will Protect the Last Flower" is a Tongyang fantasy that incorporates the unique worldview of author Kim Seon-mi. It starts from the premise, "What if the souls of the dead bloomed as flowers?" and embraces the sorrow of the left-behind through a narrative of growth that serves as comfort for all who have lost loved ones.
"Gwiwhaseo, Sahonhwa" is a soundtrack created in collaboration between Ahn Yae-eun and "Millie's Library." It is also Ahn Yae-eun's first novel soundtrack. While preserving the thematic consciousness of the work, Ahn Yae-eun enhanced the completeness by adding her distinctive storytelling. Given Ahn Yae-eun's excellent ability to pursue "musicalization of stories," there is anticipation for what stories and emotions she will convey through this soundtrack.
On the 26th, DSP Media also released the release poster for "Gwiwhaseo, Sahonhwa" through their official social media. The poster features the flower "Sahonhwa," which bloomed from the souls of the dead, and the public institution "Gwiwhaseo," which has managed Sahonhwa since the Joseon Dynasty. The dreamy and mysterious atmosphere blended with a pink landscape is impressive.
