Devil's Plan 2 winner Jung Hyun-kyu opened up about his relationship with Seo Hae-eun, whom he has received support from as a "real couple" through Love Transition 2.
On the morning of the 27th, an interview took place between director Jung Jong-yeon of the Netflix original variety show "Devil's Plan: Death Room" (abbreviated as Devil's Plan 2) and winner Jung Hyun-kyu at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno District, Seoul.
Devil's Plan 2 is a brain survival game variety show where players from various professions compete for the title of best brain while staying together for 7 days. The show concluded with the release of its 12th episode (final episode) on the 20th, with Jung Hyun-kyu emerging as the winner.
During this time, Jung Hyun-kyu had also attracted attention for his public relationship with Seo Hae-eun, who became a real couple in the Tving original variety show Love Transition Season 2. There were multiple reports of their breakup both before and after the release of Devil's Plan 2, but there had been no substantial responses regarding the rumors.
In this regard, he said, "Hae-eun and I have been supporting each other since Love Transition 2 and are doing well." He noted, "We are hesitant about our activities or any actions as a couple, and while we met through a broadcast and gained public interest and attention, we are reluctant to make our relationship itself a product."
He added, "I tried to protect and hide a lot. So I expressed our relationship indirectly. I think I can only answer that we are just supporting each other for now."
However, Jung Hyun-kyu later mentioned, "This experience made me reflect a lot on myself. I realized that I am an immature and imperfect person. I plan to take some time to heal on my own."
