(Following Interview ②) Actor Kang Yoo-seok mentioned the 'M Countdown' stage he presented with 'High Boys.'
On the 26th, an interview with actor Kang Yoo-seok from tvN's 'Resident Playbook' took place at a cafe in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
tvN's weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' (Creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung / Directed by Lee Min-soo / Written by Kim Song-hee / Planned by CJ ENM Studios / Produced by Egg Is Coming) has gained immense popularity, recording high figures not only in buzz rankings but also in viewership ratings and video views, and has concluded.
Kang Yoo-seok plays the role of 'Eom Jae-il,' a gynecology resident who is a former member of the idol group 'High Boys.' He also appeared on Mnet's 'M Countdown' alongside TOMORROW X TOGETHER members Soobin and Yeonjun, performing the OST 'When That Day Comes.'
In this regard, Kang Yoo-seok noted, "In fact, I was a bit anxious at first. Since Hybe produced this and the producers created this opportunity, it felt somewhat burdensome, but I thought to myself, when will I ever get to do this? So, I mustered the courage to practice and take on the challenge."
He continued, "However, I think it didn't come out as well as I hoped. I could have done a bit better. It was my first time on stage. The LEDs at my feet were moving, and the texture of the stage felt new. I thought the floor was stiffer than I expected. While I was rehearsing, I looked down at the floor and suddenly felt my legs give way, and I started to get dizzy. I mean, you don't really know what the stage is like, right? Sometimes, I was focused on the cameras and such, and while I could have danced better, I ended up being distracted by those things."
He shared his interactions with TOMORROW X TOGETHER members, saying, "I felt really sorry because they are younger than me, born in '99 and '00. I thought there was a significant age gap. These kids practice every day. When I work alone and then team up, the movements tend to synchronize. There were times I stepped on their feet while practicing. I might have lightly bumped into them. After it was over, I apologized, but Yeonjun said, 'That's okay, it happens in practice. Just relax and have fun.' I was really grateful for that."
He mentioned, "After the music video was released, I saw the comments. There was an English comment that read, 'Yeonjun = Dancer, Soobin = Visual, Yoo-seok = Doctor.' Hearing that, I felt a mix of emotions. I found it funny while being somewhat sad. I wasn't hurt by it though."
