In the 318th episode of KBS Joy's "Ask Anything" (hereinafter referred to as "Ask Anything"), which aired on the 26th, a participant appeared who claimed his wife filed for a divorce lawsuit.
The participant stated, "I've been married for a year, but I received a divorce lawsuit claiming a fraudulent marriage."
He added, "They say I concealed my assets. I had a business during our dating period, and at that time, the revenue was between 1 billion and 2 billion won. After we got married, the economy worsened. I mentioned that things were becoming increasingly difficult, and it seems that this led to the lawsuit."
The participant mentioned he met his wife at a hiking club. She is 14 years younger. The couple dated for about six months before getting married, and he revealed they currently have a 150-day-old baby.
The participant said, "I think the problems started as the business became more challenging. After the baby was born, my wife experienced severe postpartum depression. From that time, she began drinking, hiding it in the emergency exit. Then we ended up having arguments. She found a luxury item gift receipt at home from a woman I had been engaged to before. She started to suspect me, saying, 'I can't forget this woman.'"
Seo Jang-hoon said, "It's frustrating. Think about it rationally. Why would someone who is getting married again have a receipt? That's something to throw away; why keep it and get caught?" Lee Sugeun explained, "When postpartum depression is severe, even small things can feel hurtful."
Lee Sugeun remarked, "The chances of being happy again if you get back together are less than 1%. It seems everything has become complicated." Seo Jang-hoon explained, "There could be differences in perspective due to the age gap. At our age, one would likely take things a bit slower, ask questions. From the wife's perspective, the moment living expenses aren't brought in, it becomes a fraud. Evidence needs to be shown to persuade her."
