JYP Entertainment's next-generation boy group KickFlip is making a comeback today (26th) with their second mini album 'Kick Out, Flip Now!' and the title track 'FREEZE'.
KickFlip is making a rapid comeback four months after their debut album 'Flip it, Kick it!' and the title track 'Mama Said' on January 20. The new song 'FREEZE' is a dance track based on hybrid pop punk that modernly combines 90s-inspired guitar riffs, glitch hop, and hyper-pop synths. It depicts the joyful rebellion of KickFlip as they rush toward their secret hideout.
Members Gyehoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwoong, Minje, Kaeju, and Donghyun express their bold ambition to kick the rules aside and overturn the game through the new album 'Kick Out, Flip Now!' while unleashing explosive refreshing energy. The new release contains a total of seven tracks, including the title track 'FREEZE', 'Let's Get It', 'Someday the Sun Will Explode', 'Electricity', 'Complicated!!', 'Code Red', and 'How We KickFlip'. The members participated in the lyrics and composition of some of the tracks, reflecting the true feelings of the boys.
KickFlip achieved 322,000 copies for their first-week sales with their debut album 'Flip it, Kick it!' according to shipment-based statistics from Circle Chart, topping both the weekly album chart and the weekly retail album chart. They also recorded 276,881 copies in first-week sales according to Hanteo Chart, receiving official first-week certification and marking a successful initial step. Riding the momentum, they are actively conducting comeback activities to solidify their presence as K-pop super rookies.
To celebrate the release of their new album 'Kick Out, Flip Now!' and the title track 'FREEZE', a comeback showcase will take place the same day at 8 p.m. at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. This showcase will be streamed live on JYP Entertainment's and KickFlip's official YouTube channel.
