Boynextdoor has proven to be 'the hottest team these days' by winning four awards on music shows.
On May 25, the SBS program 'Inkigayo' featured Boynextdoor (Seongho, Riu, Myungjaehyun, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak) with their mini album 'No Genre' and title track 'I Feel Good' taking first place.
With this win, Boynextdoor secured their fourth music show trophy following 'I Feel Good' on Mnet 'M Countdown', KBS2 'Music Bank', and MBC 'Show! Music Core'.
In particular, on this day's 'Inkigayo', along with 'I Feel Good', Boynextdoor's digital single 'I LOVE YOU Today', released in January, was also nominated for first place, showcasing their immense popularity.
The six members expressed their gratitude to the fans, stating, 'This award feels like a gift from ONEDOOR (the fandom name), and we are truly happy. We will strive to repay the love from ONEDOOR one by one.'
Continuing their unstoppable upward trend with each activity, Boynextdoor hit another career high with this album. They recorded sales of 1,166,419 copies (according to Hanteo Chart) during the first week of release (May 13-19) with 'No Genre', producing their second million seller less than two years after their debut. It took only five days to reach the 1 million mark. They also topped the Circle Chart weekly album chart (for the period of May 11-18) with sales recorded in just five days.
Boynextdoor is also sailing through the music charts, which are indicators of popularity. 'I Feel Good' landed in the top ranks of Melon 'Top 100' the day after its release and maintained a 'two-way popularity' with 'I LOVE YOU Today'. On the Circle Chart weekly download chart, they positioned all their tracks, including 'I Feel Good', in the upper ranks, asserting their presence.
Their rise in Japan was also remarkable. 'No Genre' topped Billboard Japan's 'Top Album Sales' and 'Hot Albums' charts for the period of May 12-18. Additionally, 'No Genre' swept the Oricon weekly album rankings and weekly aggregate album rankings during the same period.
'I Feel Good' reached the pinnacle of Billboard Japan's rapid rise chart 'Hot Shot Song' and ranked 7th on the global short-form mobile video platform TikTok's music chart 'Top 50' (May 22) and 10th on the 'Viral 50' chart (May 23), appearing at the top of various major charts.
With their new release activity concluding successfully on 'Inkigayo', Boynextdoor is now set to meet fans through various performance stages.
They will hold 'BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1' ENCORE IN JAPAN' at Musashino Forest Sports Plaza Main Arena in Tokyo for three days from June 28 to 30, and then conclude their solo tour with 'BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1' FINAL' at KSPO DOME in Seoul from July 25 to 27. They will also perform on the last day of the world's largest music festival, 'Lollapalooza Chicago', in Chicago, Illinois, on August 3.
