Song So-hee successfully wrapped up her solo concert '2025 SONG SOHEE CONCERT: Rolling 30th Anniversary Performance' at Rolling Hall in Hongdae, Seoul, on 23rd.
The concert, which recorded a full house, was held in an all-standing format with a band setup, delivering an intense atmosphere.
Beyond a simple music performance, it provided a stage that expanded Song So-hee's identity and the boundaries of the genre, garnering enthusiastic responses from the audience. Through a setlist that included original songs and various genres, Song So-hee clearly established her identity as a singer-songwriter.
On this day, Song So-hee opened with her unreleased original song 'HAMBA KAHLE,' garnering attention by showcasing new genres of music that break boundaries right from the start of the performance. Song So-hee then presented a transcendent sound with 'Eolang Taryeong + CLASSIC,' which fused folk music and pop music into one track, and 'Pung-ryu (Janggit Taryeong),' a band version arrangement of existing folk songs.
In particular, Song So-hee painted a unique musical color on stage, incorporating modern sensibilities into folk emotions with her original songs 'Cloud Cape Journey,' 'The World Is a Mysterious Place (Asurajang),' 'Against the Deep Sea,' 'Aerial Dance,' 'Deer Spirit,' 'Day and Night Song (晝野曲),' and 'Not a Dream.'
Song So-hee intentionally broke away from traditional formats in terms of style, composition, and stage direction, capturing a multidimensional narrative of her change and expansion as an artist. While performing 'Infodemics' on guitar, she reinterpreted Sigur Ros's 'Varuo' with her own dreamy vocals. Following this concert, Song So-hee plans to present various stages through new musical projects and performances.
The unreleased new songs also received a significant response from the audience. Song So-hee chose 'HAMBA KAHLE' as an encore, following her opening performance of 'The Night of Loss' and 'A BLIND RUNNER.' The audience felt deep emotion and lingering thoughts as they accompanied Song So-hee on her forthcoming musical journey.
Meanwhile, after successfully concluding her solo concert, Song So-hee is set to perform at major domestic festivals, including the '2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival' on Aug. 3 and the '2025 Sound Planet Festival' on Sept. 14, continuing her active music activities.
