BTS Jin has set a 'career high' on the U.S. Billboard, proving his strong presence as a solo artist.
According to a chart preview article published on the official website of Billboard, a U.S. music publication, on the 26th (Korean time), Jin's mini album 'Echo' has reached 3rd place on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' (dated May 31). This is the highest position for Jin's solo album on the 'Billboard 200'. His previous work 'Happy', released in November 2024, ranked 4th on this chart.
'Echo' is an album that depicts the various moments of life spreading like different forms of an 'echo.' Jin expresses stories and emotions that anyone has experienced at least once, drawing empathy from music fans with his unique perspective.
This album, which includes a total of 7 songs, encompasses various genres such as pop-punk, country rock, Brit rock, J-rock, alternative rock, and ballad pop, based on a band sound. Jin has been evaluated as having showcased an expanded musical world with his delicate emotions and vocals that fit each song's sentiment.
'Echo' made waves by entering the UK 'Official Chart Album Top 100' at 63rd place (dated May 23-29). It is the first time that his solo work has entered both the U.S. 'Billboard 200' and the UK 'Official Chart Album Top 100', known as the two major album charts worldwide.
The popularity of the music is also overwhelming. The title track of 'Echo', 'Don't Say You Love Me', soared to 2nd place on the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify's latest 'Daily Top Song Global' (dated May 24). This song ranked 58th on the UK 'Official Chart Single Top 100' and reached 1st place on all three sub-charts: 'Single Downloads', 'Single Sales', and 'Physical Single'.
Jin will hold his first solo fan concert tour '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR' on June 28-29 at the Goyang Gymnasium Auxiliary Stadium in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang.
