"Lee Yi-kyung from 'Hangout with Yoo' was scammed while burdened with 500 million won in debt."
In the episode aired on the afternoon of the 24th, MBC's entertainment program 'Hangout with Yoo?' showed the duo of Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Yi-kyung heading to Tokyo, Japan, to keep a promise with actor Shim Eun-kyung, whom they met three months ago in the 'Suspicious Gourmet' episode.
The two took a taxi to meet Shim Eun-kyung, and Lee Yi-kyung stated, "I have been under a lot of minor stress lately, and I was scammed while selling used goods. I tried to get rid of large items like the system hanger and sofa for my move. Someone said they would buy them right away. But they kept saying they would come an hour earlier than the agreed time. We originally planned to meet at 5 p.m., but they came at 4 p.m. with the dismantling technician and insisted on coming inside."
Eventually, after Lee Yi-kyung shared the house password, he revealed, "That person asked for the password, so I gave it to them, and they took everything from my home and disappeared," and added, "I was so angry and felt betrayed. Did I trust people too much?"
In response, Yoo Jae-suk scolded him, saying, "What if that person comes in after you gave them the house password when nobody was around?" And Lee Yi-kyung replied, "I learned another lesson. I think I trusted too much," and shared, "I think that's why I was stressed. That night, while I was sleeping, I broke my tooth. I think I was really upset. More than the amount, it was because I thought, 'I was scammed' that bothered me..."
Earlier, Lee Yi-kyung revealed that he ended up with 500 million won in debt after the value of a building he owned halved due to being scammed, drawing sympathy. Following the recent theft incident at Park Na-rae's house, Lee Yi-kyung also disclosed that his house was robbed.
Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Yi-kyung met Shim Eun-kyung in Japan and went to a quiet park to eat convenience store desserts. Yoo Jae-suk said, "While taking a taxi, I heard about Lee Yi-kyung's experience of being scammed. You should listen to this. It's really unbelievable," expressing his concern.
He continued, "Lee Yi-kyung recently moved back to his family home. It was difficult to take sofas and such to the family home, so he decided to make a used goods transaction, but suddenly someone who wanted to buy called and urgently asked for the (Lee Yi-kyung's house) password." He explained, "After that, the person entered Lee Yi-kyung's house, took the items, and didn't pay."
Yoo Jae-suk said, "You should not give out the password. It's not just that they took your things this time. What if they comeover after inputting the password later? That cannot happen," expressing his concern. Shim Eun-kyung also asked, "Are you okay? If it were me, I wouldn't be able to come to Japan after experiencing such an incident. It would be too hard on my heart," she expressed her surprise.
Lee Yi-kyung asked, "Are you hoping that I wouldn't come to Japan?" to which Shim Eun-kyung replied, "Why does the conversation go that way?" and added, "I hope the scam is resolved quickly."
