Lee Byung-hun eagerly awaited contact from his wife, Lee Min-jung. His affectionate feelings toward her remained strong even amid parenting.
On the 23rd, the KBS2 entertainment show "Heart on Wheels" featured the Jung siblings attempting to prepare meals for 100 residents of Hyuja, during which a scene was revealed of Lee Min-jung on the phone with her husband, Lee Byung-hun while grocery shopping.
On this day, Lee Min-jung arrived in Boryung city after an hour, conveying Lee Byung-hun's reaction, who had not been able to receive contact throughout the filming. "Oppa said he was dying to know. He asked why I wasn't doing a video call or answering the phone," she revealed, adding, "I told him I was still filming." The husband's anticipation for contact was evident.
Lee Min-jung immediately called Lee Byung-hun and explained the situation, saying, "There's no break time here, it's work, after all," and added, "I have to serve meals for 100 people today." She continued, "I sold convenience store food yesterday, and today, I need to prepare a feast, so Oppa might feel a bit disappointed, because I might end up making something too delicious here," which elicited laughter.
During the call, Lee Min-jung also asked about their 16-month-old second daughter. "Did our second daughter not cry saying she missed me? These days, she's been whining to go out," she expressed her worries, to which Lee Byung-hun replied, "Fortunately, she did not cry."
Lee Min-jung expressed, "I cannot tell you how relieved I am to hear her say, 'Mom, have a good time,' with a smile." At the end of the call, she wrapped up with a cute voice saying, "I know, yes," bringing smiles to the viewers.
Boom, who was watching, commented, "It's the time when she should be looking for her mom," to which Lee Min-jung replied, "Yes, she is looking for me a lot. But I am thankful that she didn't cry and told me to have a good time going out." She conveyed her heart of balancing parenting and broadcasting.
Meanwhile, Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun got married in 2013 and have two children, a son and a daughter. The couple continues to engage in active work in their respective fields and is receiving much support for diligently balancing both parenting and work.
