"Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" Chef Lee Yeon-bok and MONSTA X's Shownu & Jooheon promote Korean cuisine in Turkey.
The episode airing on the 23rd of KBS 2TV's "Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" (hereafter referred to as "Fun-Staurant") will continue the gourmet journey in Turkey with Chef Lee Yeon-bok and MONSTA X's Shownu & Jooheon (BOKSTAX). It has been reported that the three, who received a warm welcome from the moment they arrived in Turkey, have also been featured in local media.
On this day, the VCR will reveal that BOKSTAX was invited to one of Turkey's hottest upscale restaurants. The owner chef, Sinem Özüler, is the first female chef in Istanbul to receive a Michelin star and is currently a globally recognized figure. Chef Sinem showcased a variety of Turkish dishes to BOKSTAX, who responded with an unrestrained eating show.
Following that, BOKSTAX and Chef Sinem entered the kitchen of her restaurant together. When Chef Lee Yeon-bok was invited to Turkey, it was decided to create a collaborative menu between Korea and Turkey with the assistance of Chef Sinem. Currently, there is a K-food craze in Turkey. Chef Lee impressed everyone with the idea of combining Turkish dishes he tasted on the spot with K-food's representative dish, tteokbokki. He even surprised everyone by bringing out a griddle specifically for tteokbokki he had brought from Korea.
A little later, the full collaboration between Chef Lee Yeon-bok and Chef Sinem began. MONSTA X's Shownu and Jooheon also helped cook by making the Turkish dishes they learned that day. During this time, the muscular Shownu assisted with his brawny forearms. All the restaurant staff gathered to see Shownu, and the members of "Fun-Staurant" reportedly exclaimed, "So sexy!" in response to his overwhelming masculinity, increasing curiosity.
Meanwhile, all of this was prominently covered by major Turkish media. A well-known local food columnist reported on the collaboration between Korean and Turkish cuisine. The activities of BOKSTAX, which garnered attention from Turkish media, along with the special collaborative menu created by Chef Lee Yeon-bok representing Korea and Turkey, will be featured on KBS 2TV's "Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" airing on May 23 at 8:30 p.m.
