Mixed martial arts athlete and broadcaster Choo Sung Hoon brings laughter and emotion with the Imjang visit to Osaka, Japan, where he spent his childhood on 'Save Me! Homes.'
Today (22nd), on the MBC entertainment program 'Save Me! Homes' (abbreviated as 'Homes'), Choo Sung Hoon departs for Osaka on a 'local Imjang' with model Joo Woo-jae.
Choo Sung Hoon's appearance on 'Homes' was arranged as the production team planned a 'global local Imjang.' Thus, the coordinators in the 'Homes' studio welcomed and cheered for the first-time appearance of Choo Sung Hoon during the recording.
Kim Sook asked Choo Sung Hoon the official married person's question on 'Homes': "Is there a space for me in the house?" In response, Choo Sung Hoon revealed that he had entrusted everything about the house to his wife, Japanese top model Yano Shiho, saying, "So, there isn't. If there's something to think about, Love thinks alone in the room and then comes out."
In fact, Choo Sung Hoon had attracted attention by confessing that he had a quarrel with his wife after revealing their home through his personal YouTube channel. He joked, "After revealing the house, I really fought with my wife. She told me to get rid of my channel completely. These days, since my channel is doing so well, she jokingly said, 'Should I leave too?'"
He also visited Ikuno Ward in Osaka, where he was born and raised. Located 15 minutes from downtown Osaka, Ikuno Ward was primarily inhabited by international students, including Korean residents. There, Choo Sung Hoon revealed, "I briefly played baseball here during my childhood. My family was in tough financial circumstances, so I had to give up baseball because I couldn't afford the equipment," expressing nostalgia.
In particular, Choo Sung Hoon stopped in front of a former house and became emotional. It was the same place where he had previously shared the news of the demolition of the house where he lived during his childhood via social media. Choo Sung Hoon reportedly expressed emptiness over the loss of the place filled with memories where he lived until the age of 12, even removing his hat and glasses to contemplate.
Meanwhile, Choo Sung Hoon, headed to a judo studio in Tsuruhashi, Osaka, reminisced about the place where he started judo with his late father. He demonstrated a rolling technique to Joo Woo-jae while looking around the unchanged scenery of the judo studio.
He even mentioned his surprise plans for taking over the judo studio, expressing, "If you want to leave the judo studio, please contact me," after hearing news that someone else was temporarily running the studio due to his judo master's health issues. This piques curiosity about Choo Sung Hoon's Imjang in Osaka, which will air tonight at 10 p.m.
