Comedian Shim Hyun-seop shared behind-the-scenes stories from his wedding.
On the 20th, a video titled "Behind-the-scenes stories not shown in the wedding broadcast" was uploaded on the 'Shim Hyun-seop Show' channel.
The video captured scenes from the early morning of the wedding day. Shim Hyun-seop was fully engaged in the wedding rehearsal from early on. He read the vows saying, "I will be a husband who makes you laugh the most and brings love and joy into your life. I will create a joyful, healthy, and happy life stage with you, trusting each other for a lifetime."
He emphasized, "I need to practice. There's no time left now." Afterwards, Shim Hyun-seop sneaked off to practice his song while his wife Jung Young-rim was getting her makeup done.
As time dwindled, Shim Hyun-seop became anxious, saying, "I lowered the key a step. I just can't reach it. The composer has overestimated me. I've tried in the evening and in the morning, but it still didn't work. But it's been 3 days since I've lowered it. I decided to go with the original key, then lowered it again. Isn't that chaotic?" He expressed concern, saying, "If it's too low, it won't sound right. Should I just go ahead with whatever happens?"
Once everything was ready, Shim Hyun-seop revealed his nervousness by rehearsing his entrance as the groom. Jung Young-rim worried, "Am I taller than you? What should I do? Should I go lower?" Looking in the mirror, Shim Hyun-seop coolly remarked, "You're originally 1.5 cm taller than me."
Afterward, the two moved to the wedding venue filled with excitement and became officially married amidst the congratulations of numerous guests.
Meanwhile, at the age of 54, Shim Hyun-seop married 11 years younger Jung Young-rim on the 20th of last month. He shared the entire process from dating to proposal and the wedding ceremony through TV Chosun's 'Lovers of Joseon', receiving support from viewers. Notably, he revealed that Jung Young-rim took care of all the wedding preparations including the newlywed home and wedding rings, surprising many. In response, Jung Young-rim expressed her affection saying, "I don't want to be calculating with you. I just want to give you everything. You are someone I would never feel is a waste to give anything to."
