The agency of singer Jang Min-ho, HO Entertainment, has warned about impersonation scams related to no-shows.
On the 22nd, the agency HO Entertainment stated, "Recently, crimes involving impersonating a singer or an agency manager to commit fraud have been frequently occurring, so please be very cautious."
Additionally, it explained, "There have been cases of impersonating the agency's business card by approaching fans and demanding money or personal information, or no-showing after making reservations with small business (self-employed) establishments and asking for a business registration certificate."
As impersonation scams related to no-shows are rampant nationwide, and with Jang Min-ho facing various events and festivals, the agency emphasized, "We do not request money or personal information from individuals through unofficial channels, nor do we proceed with reservations or orders by presenting a manager's business card."
It further added, "As this crime targets the vulnerable population on social media and online, please spread the above notice to your acquaintances and be cautious to avoid similar victimization."
