Hwang In-hyuk stated that the rumors of him being a shaman have caused harm to his children, and he therefore lives separately.
In an episode of MBN's 'Exclusive World' aired on the 22nd, the current situation of actor Hwang In-hyuk was made public.
Hwang In-hyuk, who entered the entertainment industry as a model in the past, revealed that he transitioned to acting. Hwang In-hyuk said, "This is about 25 to 26 years ago; when I lay down to sleep, a general and a grim reaper would stand there. I even went to a mental hospital. I wanted to die. It was so painful. I feel sorry for my parents." He explained the reasons for his path as a shaman.
Hwang In-hyuk, who is a father of one son and one daughter, mentioned that the reason he lives apart from his family is to avoid hurting his children. Hwang In-hyuk shared, "An incident occurred when my eldest daughter was young. (A shaman's daughter) asked not to let our daughter play. Rumors spread throughout the neighborhood, causing chaos. We even moved houses."
Hwang In-hyuk continued, "What is wrong with me being a shaman? What does my being a shaman have to do with my children? Because I am a shaman, it might harm my kids," showing his distress.
