The son of Oh Gwang-rok stated that he vowed to live differently from his father.
On the afternoon of 20th, during the broadcast of TV Chosun's 'Dad and Me,' Oh Gwang-rok met with his son Oh Si-won for a meal.
Oh Gwang-rok, who said he had visited his grandfather, referenced his mother who passed away recently, saying, "This year marks the 70th anniversary of my marriage with my grandmother. She suddenly left us." Hearing this, the son mentioned that it has been 9 years since he last received a call from his grandmother and grandfather.
The son expressed his feelings of upset, saying, "I didn't answer my dad's calls, so I didn't answer my grandmother's either. I couldn't even see her before she left." He further shared, "I have a lot of regrets. It's so fleeting, and I couldn't believe it. I thought I should change my ways, and I intended to visit her, but it was too late."
The son asked Oh Gwang-rok, "You didn't receive my grandmother's calls; if it were another household, what would have happened? What were you thinking? Did you not think about it? Was there no thought at all?" Oh Gwang-rok responded, "It's not something I can control whether you answer the calls or not."
The son revealed his honest feelings, saying, "Did you not think about that? I feel like he's really angry with me." He stated that the reason he did not contact his grandmother was because of his anger toward his father.
The son candidly shared, "Since I didn't have memories or connections with my dad when I was young, I've always thought that I want to be a present father for my child. I said, 'I should not live like my dad.'" He added comments about his father who neglected him as a child.
