Comedian Lee Soo-ji has returned with a 'Daechi Mom' parody after three months.
On the 20th, Lee revealed the third episode of 'Under the Name Mom' on her YouTube channel 'HotIssueJi.' The video, titled 'Audition for Ms. Jamie Mom Lee So-dam's Special Birthday Party,' caught attention.
On that day, the production team asked Lee, 'It's been almost three months. You haven't been very responsive to our messages.' Lee responded, 'It's been so long, PD. It's been three months,' greeting them warmly.
Lee later explained the reason for her return as Jamie Mom after a long time, saying, 'Jamie is four years old. People say, 'The terrible four-year-old,' but I was really busy following Jamie because she's going through a real developmental phase.'
At the same time, Lee introduced her unique 'Jamie Mom' fashion. She said, 'I was just waiting for it to get warm. When it gets hot, I have my favorite fashion, and I really wanted to wear it. I wear this like a school uniform every day.'
Lee's return as the Jamie Mom character comes after about three months. Playing the Jamie Mom character, Lee had previously gained attention and controversy in February with a Daechi Mom parody video.
While parodying the enthusiastic 'Daechi Mom' who is zealous about child education, she also brought some laughter but faced backlash due to accusations that she targeted actress Han Ga-in. This was because Han had previously shared her children's academy riding daily lives through her YouTube channel.
Even during the height of the controversy, Lee showed an unshaken presence by releasing the second part of Jamie Mom, but she later displayed signs of being conscious of the controversy during a long hiatus. At the time, regarding this, Lee's side expressed carefully to OSEN, 'Please contact the company or manager.'
Initially, it seems that Lee and the 'HotIssueJi' team acknowledged the previous controversy by including a notice at the beginning of the video stating, 'This video is a comedic adaptation and does not reflect the truth,' urging viewers not to overanalyze it.
There is growing interest in whether Lee Soo-ji's 'Daechi Mom' parody, returning after three months, will lead to another controversy or be accepted as satire.
