The son of Oh Kwang-rok revealed his anger towards his father on 'Dad and Me.'
On the afternoon of the 20th, Oh Kwang-rok met with his son Oh Si-won to have a meal together on TV Chosun's 'Dad and Me.'
After a 7-year absence, Oh Kwang-rok and his son shared their first meal alone after more than 30 years. Regarding the reason for wanting to meet his father again, Oh Kwang-rok's son stated, "I wanted to eat together and talk with just the two of us," noting that he made the first appointment. This was their first time meeting for a meal.
Oh Kwang-rok, who mentioned visiting his grandfather, said, "This year is the 70th anniversary of my marriage to my grandmother. Since my grandmother suddenly passed away," he referred to his mother, who recently left this world. The son revealed that it had been 9 years since he last received a call from his grandparents.
The son expressed his feelings of disappointment, saying, "I didn't answer my dad's calls, and I didn't answer my grandmother's calls either. I couldn't see her before she left." He added, "I have a lot of regrets. It's frustrating. I couldn't believe it. I thought I needed to change things and intended to visit, but it was too late."
The son asked Oh Kwang-rok, "If I couldn't even answer my grandmother's calls, what would happen if it were another household? What were you thinking? Did you think anything? Were you indifferent?" Oh Kwang-rok replied, "Whether you answer the calls or not is something I can't control."
The son honestly expressed his thoughts, saying, "Didn't you think about that? I guess they really must be angry with me." He revealed that the reason he hadn't contacted his grandmother was due to his anger towards his father.
