The American R&B duo Emotional Oranges posted on social media on the 19th, "Please wait a little longer. It will be out soon," along with a photo.
The published photo features a member of Emotional Oranges posing with Danielle, who is sitting in a chair wearing sunglasses, which caught attention.
In particular, the post included an orange emoji symbolizing Emotional Oranges and a rabbit emoji symbolizing NewJeans, leading to speculation that Danielle might be collaborating with Emotional Oranges.
However, currently, the members of NewJeans, including Danielle, are in a dispute with their agency ADOR. Previously, ADOR's injunction to prohibit the contract performance and advertising contracts involving the five members of NewJeans was accepted, leading to a ban on independent activities.
As a result, reactions arose suggesting that Danielle collaborating with Emotional Oranges might not be an independent activity, and the post was suddenly deleted.
Subsequently, Emotional Oranges denied the collaboration with Danielle by posting a photo of Danielle and her sister Olivia Marsh on social media on the 21st.
Emotional Oranges clarified, "It is not a collaboration with Danielle but rather helping with the production of a song by Olivia Marsh," adding, "We apologize for any confusion, but that was not our intention."
Meanwhile, the second hearing date for the lawsuit between ADOR and NewJeans is scheduled for June 5 at 10 a.m.
