Yee Ji-won from 'Solo' presents her life with her 90-year-old mother, who is 'ageless' for the first time.
In the 20th episode of the SBS Plus and E-channel variety show 'Solo', which airs today at 8:30 p.m., Yee Ji-won shares a cheerful day while living with her mother, showcasing their 'sparky' chemistry.
On this day, Yee Ji-won wakes up in the morning and makes kale apple juice. Shortly after, Yee Ji-won's mother appears and says, "I think I'll eat a baguette," preparing her own breakfast separately. Yee Ji-won asks her mother, "Would you like a fried egg?" but her mother's firm preference of "I don't like eggs" leads Yee Ji-won to respond, "Then let's each eat as we like," showing a cool demeanor. Yee Ji-won's mother quickly prepares breakfast, saying, "We should only be together for 30 minutes a day."
While eating their individually prepared breakfasts, Yee Ji-won casually asks, "The kitchen looks nice now, but what if we added some plaster to give it a European style?" Her mother immediately cuts in with, "Be quiet! Just do that in your own home." However, Yee Ji-won continues to persuade her mother, saying, "It would only take a day," and ultimately, her mother responds in haste, "I can beat everyone else, but I can't beat you. You are very persistent," before quickly leaving the room. As she leaves, she earnestly tells her daughter, "Please organize the closet. I trust you to handle it."
Watching the 'sparky chemistry' between the mother and daughter, Park Eun-hye from 'Solo's sisters jokes, "30 minutes with a mother is enough, and 10 minutes is sufficient for a husband," causing everyone to burst into laughter. After seeing Yee Ji-won's mother, who looks remarkably healthy for her age, Park Eun-hye can't help but express her surprise, saying, "Your mother doesn't look like she's even 70."
After her mother leaves, Yee Ji-won skips organizing the closet and makes a phone call before going out. It turns out she called two close male juniors to go somewhere together. Yee Ji-won explains, "I recently filmed a movie and stayed in Florence, Italy, for 22 days. During that time, I got close to my British husband actor, Harry, and Yoo Jung-ha, who played the role of Kim Min-jong 20 years ago. I talked about my belongings in a logistics warehouse in Italy and expressed my concerns to them, and they offered to help, so I called them for support today."
The three arrive at the logistics warehouse and unload Yee Ji-won's belongings. Afterwards, they load the items into the car and return home. After much hassle, the three friends finish organizing the closet and enjoy a healthful meal prepared by Yee Ji-won. During the meal, Harry asks Yee Ji-won, "Are we the first men to visit your house?" and makes significant comments like, "Since you have such vibrant energy, it might make sense for you to date someone younger," and, "Will you only date Koreans?"
In response, Shin Dong-yeob analyzes the 'signals' sent by Harry, saying, "Even though Yee Ji-won is putting up a strong wall, Harry seems to be actively trying to weave in and out."
