Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late Choi Jin-sil, revealed her painful experience of past dating violence and noted that her life changed dramatically after a significant weight loss.
On the 19th, Choi Jun-hee shared before-and-after photos of her weight loss on her social media, writing, "Does losing weight change your life? Yes, it does. A lot."
Choi Jun-hee said, "My ex-boyfriend daily engaged in verbal and dating abuse, making insults like 'Aren't you grateful that I'm dating you?' and 'Who would date you with that body?' He even laid hands on me," reflecting on her painful memories. She added, "A few months ago, that loser left a comment after watching my weight loss before-and-after video. I wonder what he wanted to say by mentioning his friends."
She said, "After losing 55 kg, my dating life changed. My perspective on people, their attitudes towards me, and, most importantly, the way I learned to respect myself all improved." She emphasized, "This is not endorsing appearance-based ideals but sharing my firsthand experience that a person who takes care of their body also maintains their self-esteem."
Choi Jun-hee remarked, "No one saved me. In the end, I had to save myself." She continued, "I didn't lose weight to get a boyfriend; instead, as I lost weight, I became someone who knows how to love myself, and that led to a healthy relationship. Dieting is not just about losing weight; it's a declaration that allows me to live more authentically."
Additionally, she said, "To the trash who called me ugly, this is the reason I went from a loser to a Benz. Are you watching, my ex-boyfriend? You, who left me because I was chubby and got caught cheating with another girl. Now, I'm more beautiful than that girl."
Meanwhile, Choi Jun-hee battled lupus and once reached a weight of 96 kg, but she resolved to diet with a strong mindset and reduced her weight to 44 kg. She has since maintained her body management and recently reached 41 kg, drawing attention for a total weight loss of 55 kg.
