The 90-year-old mother of Yejihwan, who is labeled as 'single,' made an appearance.
On the 20th, the SBS Plus and E Channel co-produced entertainment show 'Single' featured a cheerful day with Yejihwan and her mother living together.
While organizing the house, Yejihwan called her mother and revealed her mother's age of 90, surprising everyone. Yejihwan mentioned that she is a late child and disclosed that her mother was born in 1937.
Yejihwan noted, 'She is hardly at home. She has many appointments,' referring to her mother's sociability. Shin Dong-yeop agreed, saying it's good to go out more as one ages.
Yejihwan's mother, who was 15 during the Korean War, explained, 'I entered the first year of high school, and then the Korean War broke out in June. The school was completely destroyed.'
Yejihwan's mother, who is from Hwanghae Province, added, 'My grandfather was a businessman in the south. He hired a guide to bring us over to the north because we couldn't just go down due to the 38th parallel being blocked.'
The mother and daughter sat at the table and had a healthy meal. Yejihwan said, 'Mom, the kitchen is still very pretty, but I want to change it to a European style by applying plaster.' Hearing this, her mother replied, 'Shut up. What about plaster? You can do that in your own house.'
