Singer Kim Da-hyun has returned with a new song aimed at the SS season.
Ahead of the song release, she preemptively unveiled a jacket photo, capturing the attention of fans and the music industry. On the 19th, Kim Da-hyun will release a digital single featuring two new songs, 'Clap' and 'Dream Road.'
'Clap' is a trot dance song based on a twist that evokes joy, blending lyrics such as 'Let's blow away all our stress, together you and I, let's sing together,' inspiring a collective atmosphere of clapping, dancing, and singing.
EuReKa, which made a fresh impact in the trot genre, took charge of producing, including songwriting, composition, and arrangement, completing music that matches Kim Da-hyun's bright and lively charm. Kim Da-hyun is expected to present an exciting and passionate stage with the new song 'Clap.'
The double title song 'Dream Road' is a traditional music-style ballad that reveals the tenderness of Kim Da-hyun's vocals as she moves away from her girl-like image toward a more mature sound.
The sense of longing for a departed loved one, reminiscent of Chunhyang, is expressed through a dreamy yet pure emotional portrayal of a woman's first love, capturing traditional aesthetics. The lyrics were penned by singer Yoon Tae-kyu of 'My Way', with composer Woo Jong-min creating a melody that fits Kim Da-hyun's vocals and emotions.
The traditional instrument ajang adds strength to Kim Da-hyun's powerful performance, perfectly expressing the lyrical and traditional feeling contained in the melody and lyrics. The line 'Love, my love, love, my love' evokes the feelings of the pansori 'Chunhyangga', conjuring pure emotions through Kim Da-hyun's unique interpretation.
Through the jacket photo, Kim Da-hyun showcased a short hairstyle and mature fashion, expressing her readiness to approach fans with more attractive visuals and vocal skills through the two new songs.
