The group I-DLE begins a new journey as 'I-DLE'.
The group will release their 8th mini album 'We are' on various music streaming sites at 6 p.m. on the 19th. This album is their first since the release of the 7th mini album 'I SWAY' in July of last year, marking a 10-month interval. Last year, all members re-signed with Cube Entertainment, and with this year marking their 7th anniversary, the change of their group name is expected to serve as a stepping stone for a new leap for I-DLE.

I-DLE announced the change of their group name from '(G)I-DLE' to 'I-DLE' on the 2nd of May to mark their 7th anniversary. Through this, they are reaffirming their identity as a group that cannot be defined by 'female,' 'GENDER,' or any gender, and are promising to showcase even more limitless music and concepts.
Along with the group name change, I-DLE gained attention by releasing artistic videos like 'for (G)', which bids farewell to (G), and 'i-dentity trailer,' where the members say goodbye to (G) in various ways. Additionally, they released a special album 'We are I-DLE,' containing their hit songs reimagined as a five-member version, emphasizing that 'we are I-DLE' by removing (G).

'We are' includes the title track 'Good Thing,' the pre-released song 'Girlfriend,' and a total of six tracks including 'Love Tease,' 'Chain,' 'Unstoppable,' and 'It's Okay.' Reflecting the new beginning signaled by 'Our,' all members of I-DLE participated, adding meaning to the album.
Soyeon's self-composed track 'Good Thing' features I-DLE's signature cool and confident lyrics and an addictive hook. 'Girlfriend' also had Soyeon involved in writing and composing. This song provides comfort to a friend experiencing a breakup, infused with I-DLE's unique style.
Furthermore, the disco genre song 'Love Tease' by Wookie, the dreamlike top line of 'Chain' composed by Minnie, the medium tempo R&B pop track 'Unstoppable' featuring Miyeon's self-composed song included in the group album for the first time, and 'It's Okay,' a ballad in which Shuhua participated in writing lyrics for the first time since her debut, all showcase the musical world of the members.

'Good Thing' is an appealing song highlighted by retro sound instruments and clever 8-bit sounds, with the repeating lyrics 'Good Thing' and 'Holy moly shhh' providing strong addictiveness. The short-form video previously released captured attention with choreography using the 'thumbs-up' gesture. Notably, the challenge video utilizing the short version of 'Good Thing' is being joined by many popular influencers, heralding the 'Good Thing' syndrome.
Meanwhile, after the release of the 8th mini album 'We are' at 6 p.m., I-DLE will communicate with fans through 'I-DLE 8th Mini Album [We are] COMEBACK LIVE' on the Naver Chit Chat and the official I-DLE YouTube channel starting at 9 p.m.
