The group RIIZE shared their reflections on their journey through the premiere.
RIIZE (Shotaro, Eunseok, Seongchan, Woobin, Sohee, Anton) held a showcase for the release of their first studio album 'ODYSSEY' at the Bluesquare SOL Travel Hall in Hannam-dong, Yongsan, Seoul, on the 19th.
RIIZE gained high popularity with their unique genre 'emotional pop' through songs like 'Get A Guitar,' 'Love 119,' and 'Boom Boom BASS.' Amid this success, they achieved three songs charting on the Melon annual chart for 2024, a consecutive two-time million seller record, and captured 16 trophies at year-end award ceremonies, covering both digital and physical sales and sensational attention. Known for their unique comeback strategies, RIIZE prepared the first, largest, and best promotional efforts for the release of their first studio album.
Woobin said, 'Watching the premiere made me think our team is really great. We are determined to work hard and achieve our goals, so please have high expectations. I'm confident about that.'
Shotaro said, 'Recently, we watched the premiere together in a movie theater, and it brought back memories that made me emotional. I heard our manager and staff almost cried, so I think this premiere turned out well and I'm satisfied.'
In particular, Shotaro, the only 'F' in the team, said, 'Even though I'm the only F, it's okay to fit in between T. There are times when I feel like I can be a T, and fans also say they feel like they've become F.'
Anton said, 'I'm a T, but seeing myself cry makes me feel emotional,' while Sohee noted, 'The T members must have felt emotional too. Our story is very much contained in the premiere, so there was a lot of empathy.'
Meanwhile, RIIZE's first studio album 'ODYSSEY' will be released on various music platforms including Melon, Flo, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, Kugou Music, and Kuwo Music at 6 p.m. on the 19th.
