The multinational five-member girl group X:IN has announced a new musical leap through their third mini album 'Defend Myself.'
X:IN (Isha, Niz, Nova, Hannah, Aria) will break a 15-month hiatus and unveil all tracks from their third mini album 'Defend Myself' on various online music sites today (17th) at 6 p.m. ahead of its official offline album release.
This album 'Defend Myself' contains autobiographical messages from X:IN, who had to make choices to protect themselves amidst anxiety hidden behind the glamor of the stage and all the chaos. This album honestly captures the group's pain, inner conflict, and the intense times they went through, reflecting X:IN's sincere desire to transcend being an ordinary idol and become true artists.
Furthermore, X:IN hopes that through this album, the raw emotions contained within it will be conveyed to many people, rather than presenting the previously neat and pretty tracks.
The title track 'Attention Seeker' depicts a tug-of-war between the self yearning for attention and the self that is wary of it, vividly expressing the psychology of wandering between the fear of obsolescence and inner truth through the portrayal of each member as a "movie protagonist-like persona".
Along with the title track, the album includes 'Saba Ha,' a song that seems to cast a spell of love towards oneself, 'Bitter Love,' a song reflecting the heart caught between pride and lingering feelings in a complex relationship, and 'Almost Done,' an autobiographical track that looks back on the growth achieved through blood, sweat, and tears during a dark period, totaling four tracks.
The music video for the title track 'Attention Seeker,' filmed in the vast deserts of California, is expected to deliver a refreshing shock to viewers by expressing the song's message and colors through overwhelming visual aesthetics and scale.
Meanwhile, the offline album of X:IN, who pre-released all tracks from their third mini album 'Defend Myself,' will be released on May 21, and X:IN plans to actively communicate with the public through various activities, including music broadcasts.
