'On 'Save Me! Homes,' singer Brian candidly revealed the reason why his 300-pyeong dream house, which he has been working on for a long time, is still not completed. He firmly drew the line against allegations of 'privilege' mixed with playful banter from some of the grants.
On Jan. 15, the MBC entertainment show 'Save Me! Homes' featured Brian, Kim Dae-ho, and Yang Se-chan heading out together for a site visit in the Pyeongtaek area.
Brian said of the grand mansion he is building in Pyeongtaek, "Many people are truly waiting for its completion. Dong-min hyung has always joked that it wouldn't be done in six months, and he was right," sharing his bittersweet feelings. He added, "Last summer there were monsoons, and winter brought heavy snowfall, so there were many times we had to pause construction due to the weather. The construction materials are also sourced from overseas, which has delayed the schedule. It is currently six months later than originally planned."
Senior builder Jang Dong-min advised Brian, "Have you signed a warranty repair contract?" When Brian replied that he had trusted the company for lifelong guarantees, Jang Dong-min said, "It's not just words; the contract is important. If there are issues with the dwelling within two years, they must be fixed. Problems tend to arise after the third year," continuing with advice grounded in experience.
Currently, Brian splits his time between Seoul and Pyeongtaek. "I spend five days in Pyeongtaek and two days in Seoul. I grew up in the countryside, so I feel more comfortable in rural areas than in the city. These days, Pyeongtaek is becoming really hot," he expressed affection.
Especially on this day, the broadcast also revealed Brian's role as a Pyeongtaek ambassador. He said, "I have tea time with the mayor, and if any tough issues arise, feel free to contact me," eliciting laughter. When Yang Se-hyung jokingly asked, "If you know the mayor, do you get any construction privileges?" Brian firmly replied, "Absolutely not," bringing even more laughter.
Although it is still under construction, glimpses of Brian's dream house were revealed for the first time on the broadcast, capturing the audience's attention. Despite encountering numerous ups and downs until completion, his journey of building a home filled with affection continues.
