This summer's opening film for the box office peak season, 'Big Deal' (distributed by SHOWBOX, produced by The Lamp), will unveil its 3rd poster and teaser trailer featuring the national soju, depicting those who want to protect it and those who want to swallow it.
The film 'Big Deal', which will be released on May 30 (Friday), unveiled a 3rd poster that suggests a fierce acting war with the last protagonist, soju, and several notable actors. 'Big Deal' tells the story of financial director Jong-rok, whose life is centered around a soju company during the 1997 IMF financial crisis, and an employee from a global investment firm, In-beom, who is solely focused on results, as they confront the fate of the Korean national soju.
With an intriguing premise that the number one national soju company in South Korea has collapsed, the highly anticipated film 'Big Deal' has advanced its release date to May 30 (Friday), further heightening expectations.
As can be seen from the poster released earlier, 'Big Deal' boasts a collaboration of actors who are flawless in both acting skill and popularity, including Pyun Jong-rok (played by Yoo Hae-jin), an accountant of the National Treasure Group, Choi In-beom (played by Lee Je-hoon), an employee of a global investment firm, Seok Jin-woo (played by Son Hyun-joo), the chairman of the National Treasure Group, and the representative lawyer of the unnamed law firm, Koo Young-mo (played by Choi Young-jun). In addition, 'soju,' a beloved item among the people of Korea, serves as the last protagonist, expanding the movie's resonance. The characters positioned among a row of soju bottles promise a new enjoyment of Korean cinema never seen before.
The teaser trailer for the national soju also captures special moments of Jong-rok and In-beom drinking soju. Jong-rok's awe at the smooth and clean taste of soju and In-beom's changing attitude and emotions towards soju over time stimulate curiosity about what the narrative surrounding the other protagonist, soju, will explore.
Featuring outstanding acting talent, a story that piques curiosity, and common ground that resonates with contemporary society, the film 'Big Deal' will be available in theaters nationwide on May 30 (Friday).
