On the 15th, the production team of the movie "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" (director Lim Dae-hee, provided/distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Big Punch Pictures and Nova Film, abbreviated as Holy Night) unveiled stills of Ryu Seung-soo and Choi Kwang-il.
"Holy Night" is an occult action film where a group that worships evil has thrown a city into chaos, featuring the dark problem solvers with special abilities: the Holy Night team Ba-u (Ma Dong-seok), Sharon (Seo Hyun), and Kim-gun (Lee Da-wit), who eliminate the forces of evil.
The released stills depict Ryu Seung-soo as "Chief Choi," a detective involved in a transaction with the Holy Night team, and Choi Kwang-il as "Father Marco," a key character driving the narrative. Chief Choi, portrayed by Ryu Seung-soo, who has showcased unique characters across various genres in movies like "Picnic," "The Outlaws," and "Yooksa-o (6/45)" as well as dramas such as "Buried Hearts" and "Jungnyeoni," is a detective who has long collaborated with the Holy Night team, connecting those in crises that the public authority cannot resolve with them. Early in the film, Chief Choi introduces a client who pleads for help to rescue his daughter, who has been consumed by a demon, to Ba-u, easing the film's tension with his distinctive cheerful demeanor and comedic charm. He demonstrates his remarkable acting skills through impressive chemistry with Ma Dong-seok, who plays Ba-u.
'Father Marco' is played by Choi Kwang-il, who has shown deep and detailed acting skills in various films like "Confession," "Oh! Moon-hee," and "Baekdusan" as well as dramas such as "Buried Hearts," "The Call You're Waiting For," and "Miracle Brothers." Father Marco is a figure that Ba-u resents and someone who knows about his painful childhood, elevating the film's intrigue and tension. He plays a crucial role in unraveling the narrative's clues by posing questions about why Ba-u tries to distance himself from him. In "Holy Night," Choi Kwang-il solidly leads the intense relationship with Ba-u, exhibiting solid acting skills and stable chemistry with Ma Dong-seok.
