YG Baby Monster and Treasure successfully held a pop-up store in China, showing signs of significant popularity in the local market.
According to YG Entertainment on the 15th, Baby Monster has been conducting the 'BABYMONSTER 1ST FULL ALBUM DRIP POP-UP STORE' in Shanghai since the 9th and in Shenzhen since the 10th. Overcoming the disappointment of earlier events held only in Guangzhou, China, in January, they expanded the region and scale to increase points of contact with fans.
This pop-up store is located in the main lobby of a large shopping mall in the city center, where there is heavy pedestrian traffic among people in their 20s to 40s. The consolidation of Baby Monster's branding is seen throughout the subway connection corridors, mall entrances, and glass railings on the pop-up floor, showcasing their solid position in the Chinese market.
On-site, a wide variety of over 100 items were prepared, including Baby Monster's first full album 'DRIP', merchandise for the World Tour [HELLO MONSTERS] in Seoul and Japan, a one-year photo book, photo cards, zip-up hoodies, and knit caps. Some items sold out early, prompting a second and third restock.
Thanks to a crowd of reservations and on-site visitors from the opening weekend, the pop-up store saw a bustling atmosphere. During weekday mornings, parents were seen purchasing merchandise while video calling their children, and in the afternoons, students in school uniforms flocked to the site, displaying popularity across all ages.
Moreover, Treasure recently proved their distinct presence by holding their first pop-up store in China. Fans took photos against heart-shaped balloons symbolizing the special mini album [PLEASURE], writing various supportive messages that filled the installed wall with explosive love.
Both Baby Monster and Treasure are expanding their activity radius and increasing their global influence, attracting attention. YG stated, "In the future, we will meet fans not only through pop-ups but also through various forms, such as fan meetings and performances, so we hope for much anticipation."
Meanwhile, Baby Monster is conducting their debut world tour '2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR' across 20 cities with 32 performances, while Treasure is carrying out a fan concert tour [SPECIAL MOMENT] in a total of 9 cities with 17 performances, continuing to meet fans globally.
