In 'Tastefully Yours,' Kang Ha-neul, Go Min-si, and Kim Shin-rok successfully launched their first business.
On 13th, in the broadcast of the Genie TV original 'Tastefully Yours' (planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Shortcake, created by Han Joon-hee, written by Jeong Soo-yoon, directed by Park Dan-hee), episode 2 featured manager Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), chef Mo Yeon-ju (played by Go Min-si), and new employee Jin Myeong-suk (played by Kim Shin-rok) starting to coordinate their efforts within a space called Jeongje.
First, Han Beom-woo and Mo Yeon-ju entered into a Jeongje investment contract for different purposes. Han Beom-woo, seeking the recipe, took on overall responsibility for the front-of-house and restaurant operations along with financial management, while Mo Yeon-ju, needing to clear her overdue rent, secured a guarantee against interference with the kitchen and ingredients, entering into a mutual contract as a chef.
Soon, Mo Yeon-ju attempted to make a secret deal with the vegetable shop owner to procure rare, premium domestic gochugaru. However, unable to pay the shop's outstanding debt immediately, the transaction fell through, and she was greatly disheartened by this.
Witnessing this, Han Beom-woo raised concerns over high ingredient costs and suggested changing the Jeongje system, but Mo Yeon-ju disregarded his comments, stating, "Using good ingredients is a matter of principle, not a choice." Moreover, rejecting Han Beom-woo's recommendation of highly qualified talent, she hired Jin Myeong-suk, who had 15 years of experience at a local soup restaurant, claiming that she had cooking passion and sincerity, leading to conflicts in opinions with Han Beom-woo.
After the motion to dismiss the head of the Moto was approved, Han Beom-woo, who suddenly lost financial support from his mother, Chairwoman Han, briefly despaired before selling the luxury watch he was wearing to purchase upscale tables for the Jeongje store upgrade. He also attempted to ignite viral marketing by trying to recruit a 1 million follower influencer on social media, fueling his passion in his own way.
For Han Beom-woo, it was most unlikely to view Jin Myeong-suk's behavior—washing dishes while watching the drama or demanding prepaid payments from customers in informal language—in a favorable light. Eventually, infuriated by Jin Myeong-suk, who had ruined a table he painstakingly brought in by making kimchi pancakes as a snack, Han Beom-woo erupted in anger and stormed out into the street in the pouring rain after unleashing harsh words on Mo Yeon-ju and Jin Myeong-suk.
While cooling his heels alone in a corner of the market, Han Beom-woo unexpectedly met the vegetable shop owner and the butcher. Over some drinks and complaints, they quickly became friends, providing him with understanding, advice, and comfort. They expressed warmth by giving him premium gochugaru, saying that the head chef would surely be aware of Han Beom-woo's struggles.
Returning to the store, Han Beom-woo discovered that Jin Myeong-suk had been trying to save every penny by frying kimchi pancakes and was requesting prepaid payments to balance the store's accounts, which softened his heart. He also presented the gochugaru he received at the market, clearing up misunderstandings and grievances, and renewed their determination.
Subsequently, members of the early morning soccer club gathered at Jeongje for a group dinner, filling the store, and Han Beom-woo, Mo Yeon-ju, and Jin Myeong-suk united, infusing vitality and launching the positive signal for a new beginning.
Meanwhile, as these three gradually began to coordinate, the sudden appearance of soup restaurant heir Shin Chun-seung (played by Yoo Soo-bin) stirred up intense objections to Jin Myeong-suk's transfer, raising curiosity about how the Jeongje business would flow in the future.
