Hand Chang-min, who barely saved his life, unexpectedly cheers at his own funeral.
In the 23rd episode of the KBS 1TV daily drama "Catch Your Luck" (written by Son Ji-hye, directed by Park Man-young and Lee Hae-woo), set to air today (14th) at 8:30 p.m., Han Moo-cheol (played by Hand Chang-min), who was thought to be dead, returns to life, promising a twist.
Earlier, Moo-cheol left home desolate after divorcing Lee Mi-ja (played by Lee Ah-hyun) and was soon discovered at the scene of a fire as an unidentified corpse, leading to the misunderstanding of his death. Shocked, Mi-ja went to the police station to request verification of the body, while Kim Dae-sik (played by Sun Woo-jae-deok) and Choi Gyu-tae (played by Park Sang-myeon), who had previously lied to Moo-cheol, also suffered from deep guilt.
In today's broadcast, Moo-cheol unexpectedly learns of the incorrect news of his death and visits the funeral home in shabby attire. Briefly shocked by the empty funeral hall with no flower arrangements, Moo-cheol stands before his portrait and bursts into cheers, thinking that he no longer has to suffer from his creditors.
Mi-ja, who has suddenly become a widow, proceeds with the funeral without shedding a single tear while welcoming guests. Furthermore, Mi-ja firmly draws the line, saying Moo-cheol is not associated with the creditors, surprising those around her.
Dae-sik and Gyu-tae, who mourn Moo-cheol's death at the funeral home, shed bitter tears reflecting on Moo-cheol's life, which earned him resentment as a ruthless landlord during his lifetime.
Meanwhile, Moo-cheol is deeply shocked by the unexpected reactions of his family during the funeral. Hurt by the indifference of the family and friends gathered at the funeral home, Moo-cheol reveals a meaningful gaze as if he has made a decision about something. The audience awaits to see what resolute decision Moo-cheol will make at this crossroads.
