Jang Young-nam and Kim Sun-young meet as rivals representing the town of Dosonri.
The new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama "Our Unwritten Seoul," which will premiere on the 24th (Saturday) at 9:20 p.m. (scripted by Lee Kang, directed by Park Shin-woo, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Monster Union and High Ground), is a romantic coming-of-age drama about twin sisters who, apart from their faces, are completely different, finding true love and life through a lie that switches their lives.
In the drama, Jang Young-nam plays Kim Ok-hee, the mother of twins Yoo Mi-ji and Yoo Mi-rae, who is like a fairy. Kim Ok-hee, a full-time elementary school cafeteria cook, lost her husband early and raised her twin daughters alone. While she is proud of her daughter Yoo Mi-rae, who has grown up well, she is always concerned about Yoo Mi-ji, who is without a job and stays in the village. Jang Young-nam's transformation into the character of Kim Ok-hee, who exhibits a blend of realism with Park Bo-young (playing Yoo Mi-ji and Yoo Mi-rae), in the role of the chronically fatigued twins is attracting attention.
Kim Sun-young plays the role of Yom Bun-hong, the vice principal of the elementary school where Kim Ok-hee (played by Jang Young-nam) works and the mother of Lee Ho-soo (played by Park Jin-young). Yom Bun-hong is a character who clings to her son Lee Ho-soo after losing her husband. Although she silently feels hurt that her son, who went to Seoul after university, keeps his distance from her, she endures her loneliness without showing it. Thus, curiosity grows regarding their relationship that Kim Sun-young and Park Jin-young (playing Lee Ho-soo) will portray.
Meanwhile, Kim Ok-hee, the mother of the twins, and Yom Bun-hong (played by Kim Sun-young), the mother of a son, have shared a strong bond as the best rivals and close neighbors in Dosonri in the past. Though they seem to live opposite lives, they also share many similarities and rely on each other deeply, promising to warm the viewers' hearts with the friendship of these two mothers.
The everyday lives of Kim Ok-hee and Yom Bun-hong, which seem similar yet different, can be glimpsed in the released photos. In contrast to Kim Ok-hee, who is cooking sitting on the floor in a stretched-out t-shirt and sweatpants, Yom Bun-hong is seen making food at the table while wearing a beautiful apron. Thus, anticipation is rising for the synergy that will emerge when these two friends meet.
